Privacy & Security

Every web browsing user has lots of cookies installed on their computer to help web developers create a better experience for the user. While cookies improve the user experience, they are also dangerous and can collect lots of data that users do not want to be collected. Group 11 has created a design that allows users to track their cookies as well as remove cookies from their devices to protect themselves.

Our Project

Our project enables mobile browser users the power to be able to be secure while they surf the web. Many websites that we use install harmful cookies on our devices without us even knowing. Our application allows you to block these cookies and remove them from the users device.

Cookies enable web developers to the give the user a better experience by tailoring content based on that users activities, but it can also track private information that is meant to be secure. Cookies are a main part of the web experience and are needed to tailor a good user experience, but at what costs. Our project will be able to give people the confidence to browse in safety. They will know what cookies are being tracked and how they are being used. The user will then have the ability to remove these cookies from the device.
