Mental Health

Our project aims to address the negative consequences of excessive social media usage among college students. To combat this issue, we developed BeWell, an innovative app designed to empower college students to manage their screen-time and prioritize their mental well-being. Through extensive research and collaboration with experts, we ensured that BeWell effectively caters to the needs of college students, fostering a digital environment that prioritizes mental wellness and supports academic and personal success.

Our Project

Our project is aimed at addressing the detrimental effects of excessive social media usage on the well-being of college students. Recognizing the prevalence of digital connectivity among this demographic and its potential negative impacts, we developed BeWell, an innovative app designed to empower college students in managing their screen time and prioritizing their mental health. BeWell offers a comprehensive suite of features, including a Screen Time Tracker to provide insights into digital habits, Set Limits functionality for controlling consumption, Family Sharing capabilities to extend benefits to loved ones, and Customizable Settings for tailoring the app to individual preferences. Through extensive research into the intersection of social media and mental health, we ensured that BeWell effectively addresses the unique needs and challenges faced by college students in today's digital age. By fostering a digital environment that promotes mindfulness and well-being, BeWell aims to support college students in thriving both academically and personally, ultimately contributing to their overall success and fulfillment during their college years and beyond.
